Animal Control and Dog Licensing Law of Individual Municipalities

With the elimination of New York State Agriculture and Markets dog licensing functions, as of January 1, 2011, it is the responsibility of municipalities to conduct dog license procedures. Local governments are required to establish local fees and policies prior to January 1, 2011, via legislation.
