Submission guidelines

Marvin Library’s 50th Anniversary: Call for Expressive Works

As part of Marvin Library’s 50th Anniversary, the Marvin Library Learning Commons will showcase the work of students, alumni, and staff of Hudson Valley Community College from March 30th to May 20th in the Troy Savings Bank Charitable Foundation Atrium.

Marvin Library will highlight expressive works from any discipline which reflect the mission of Marvin Library Learning Commons. Possible themes for work include, but are not limited to, Inquiry, Learning, Knowledge, Service, Communication, Reflection, Access, and Empowerment.

All students who submit a work will received free movie tickets courtesy of student activities. 

Guidelines:

  • Any media are welcome, anything from math equations to architectural drawings and more!
  • Space limitations may limit the inclusion of some submissions.
  • Be creative!
  • Submit up to three image samples of your work.
  • Save images as “Lastname_Firstname_Title”
  • Include title, medium, size, and a brief (2 or 3 sentences) explanation of the work  
  • Submit via email to Anne Rappaport at a.rappaport@hvcc.edu
  • Submission deadline: March 6th, 2020.
