DART 100 - Digital Imaging I

This course emphasizes the use of the computer as a tool in digital image making. Hands-on lectures will introduce students to the tools and methods employed in digital imaging as well as current artistic trends in creating digital images. Emphasis will be placed on the formal aspects of composition and structure, image manipulation, retouching, and compositing through raster-based graphics programs. In addition, students will be introduced to the process of making web graphics and methods for inputting and outputting digital images.
