Both Groups:
- Currency Criteria: I was looking for both dates - the date of the article and the date of the website. If you got one or the other I accepted that.
- POV means intended audience. 1st/2nd/3rd person does not provide much information on the reliability of the site.
Group 2: Consumer Guide to Dentistry
- Include the reviewer of the article as well as the author- gave leeway, but for your posters you would need to list the reviewer in your citation
- In-text references count as references. Many of you lost points for this.
- This website is objective. It is not selling you anything. It present all ways of whitening your teeth.
Group 1: Byrdie
- This is not objective. In the first paragraph it says you probably need your teeth whitened.
- Credentials that are not valid for what they are discussing are still credentials. They give you insight into what the person may believe (Remember the chiropractor example from the first class).
