Add an item to our time capsule

Time Capsule

The Marvin Library 50^th Anniversary Committee invites the campus community to suggest contributions to a Time Capsule which will be buried at the Marvin Library’s 50^th anniversary “Birthday Party” in the spring of 2020. The Time Capsule will be opened at the building’s centennial in 2070. 

Items should reflect the role which the Marvin Library Learning Commons plays in the lives of the HVCC community. Suggestions might portray the following themes:  Inquiry, Learning, Knowledge, Service, Communication, Reflection, Access, and Empowerment.

The committee may reject any items based on their durability and safety concerns.

Please be advised the time capsule is 11 1/2 inches in diameter and 33 inches tall. 

• Include title, medium, size, and a brief (2 or 3 sentences) explanation of why the item should be included.
• Submit via email to Anne Rappaport at a.rappaport@hvcc.edu.
• Submission deadline: March 30, 2020.
