What is an Individual Library Instruction session?
An Individual Library Instruction session is an appointment students can make to work one-on-one with a librarian for an hour. A research appointment with a librarian can be useful finding research database articles, books or websites.

Individual Library Instruction sessions are available to students or small groups.
When can I make an Individual Library Instruction session?
During the library hours of 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., a librarian can assist you with a face-to-face appointment.
During the library hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., a librarian can assist you with a virtual appointment.
What is a virtual appointment?
A virtual appointment offers you the opportunity to receive assistance using your own computer/device using Zoom, a free online meeting tool similar to Skype, Google Hangouts and FaceTime. Once an appointment is made, a librarian will send a confirmation email stating the date and the time. Included in this reply will be a link for the virtual appointment.
How much notice is needed before an appointment?
Please complete the form at least 24 hours before the research appointment is needed.
Will I receive an appointment confirmation?
Once your request for an appointment has been received, you will receive a confirmation email from either the librarian instruction coordinator or from the librarian who will meet with you. Please note, we do our best to accommodate one of the two dates you have requested. In a situation when librarians have previous appointments, or are not available, you may be requested to provide other dates to meet.
Can I schedule an appointment with a writing specialist?
Writing assistance is provided by writing specialists in the Writing and Research Center and must be arranged separately from a research appointment.
